Growing Pains

They be painful. Made a mistake at work. Lesson learned. However when something bad happens to me I take concrete steps to make sure it doesn't happen. I had a meeting with my superivisor and using my mistake as an example we chalked out an action plan to make sure this doesn't happen to me or anyone else on my team. booya!

Oh, I am so glad you have a reasonable boss. Hurrah! Some learning opportunities are more unpleasant than others.

reasonable bosses are a good thing. I've always thought that for most people, a mistake is a way to learn something. Only people who don't do anything don't make mistakes.

Good for you! I don't usually have a huge issue when my staff makes mistakes - unless they 1) jump into the blame game, rather than admit it and present an action plan, or 2) continue making the same mistake over and over again.

I'm glad your boss was reasonable and receptive to your plan.

when he asked me about my actions my first instinct was to blame some one else. but i thought twice and owned up to my mistake. he appreciated that and asked me to meet him in his office where we chalked out the plan.
